All SVxSV members are expected to uphold the 8 SAF Core Values - Loyalty to Country, Leadership, Discipline, Professionalism, Fighting Spirit, Ethics, Care for Soldier, Safety. This applies as much to their interactions on SVx WhatsApp Groups.

Remain on Topic

1. Use your own judgement when deciding what to share with an SVx WhatsApp Group. Respect the subject matter focus of the group, so please be mindful that the majority of the group is here for that reason. If it has nothing to do with that topic, SAF, SAFVC, it probably doesn't belong here.

2. Feel free to talk about anything related to the subject matter of that group.

3. We encourage you to share your SAFVC experience with the group as long as it adds learning value or expresses an opinion for the betterment of The Corps, and it is not sharing sensitive info.

No Spam/Advertising/Self-Promotion

1. Do not spam a SVx WhatsApp group with links to your site, product, or try to self-promote yourself or your business.

2. We define spam as unsolicited advertisement for goods, services and/or other web sites, or posts with little, or completely unrelated content.

3. If you think you have a product, service that is related to the subject matter, SAF, SAFVC, reach out to the respective Organising Group to clear it before posting it into the group.

4. Spamming also includes sending private messages to a large number of different users found on the WhatsApp group.

5. We have a zero tolerance policy for spam. Any member engaged in this activity will be removed immediately and may be banned permanently.

Respect and Courtesy

1. Any material which constitutes defamation, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Material that is sexually or otherwise obscene, racist, or otherwise overly discriminatory is not permitted on any SVx WhatsApp Group chat. Use common sense while posting.

2. All posts should be professional and courteous. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective.

3. However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or power you hold in the SAFVC or the SVx Group, you are expected to obey this rule.

Non-Political/Non-Religious

1. While we understand that The Corps is made up of people with different view points and perspectives, and while that makes us stronger, no political or religious discussion will be tolerated.

Not an official SAFVC channel

1. Please note that while we might share information we feel SVs should know about the Corps, SVx WhatsApp Groups are not a good or official channel of communication from SAFVC HQ.

2. Please make sure you are connected to your Detachment WA group and the SAFVC Family group on FB to receive timely and accurate info from The Corps.
