What is Krav Maga?

Krav Maga is a self-defense system that was developed for the Israeli military. It is a combination of boxing, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu, and it is designed to be used in real-world situations. Krav Maga teaches students how to defend themselves against punches, kicks, chokes, and grabs. It also teaches students how to disarm an attacker with a weapon. Krav Maga is a very effective self-defense system, and it can help you protect yourself in any situation.

FAQs

  • In today’s world, self-defense is an important skill to learn. Beyond building competency in staying safe, learning any martial art helps improve your confidence, fitness and awareness. It isn’t about looking for a fight but sometimes the fight comes looking for you. This is especially true if you wear the uniform and have to engage with the public - an aggressor doesn't make the distinction between vocations, who is qualified CCT or not, and so on - they just see the uniform.

  • Kravist is the Singapore HQ for Krav Maga Global – the largest Krav Maga organisation in the world. The gym is run by instructors Edwin Peng and Wan Man (a fellow SV).
