Faced with an emergency situation, knowing how to apply first aid is a critical skill to have, especially for SVs who interact frequently with the public.

SVx has arranged with Singapore Red Cross to train SVs in Standard First Aid plus AED and Outdoor First Aid pathway. The Standard First Aid plus AED certification goes beyond the knowledge provided during Basic Training and is also a requirement for those interested in taking the Outdoor First Aid course. This is an excellent opportunity for SVs to renew and enhance their first aid credentials.

Course Details

• This course covers Standard First Aid plus AED.

• Participants who successfully pass the assessment and have full attendance will be awarded a Standard First Aid Provider and CPR(HO)+AED Provider certifications that are valid for 2 years.

• The course is run over 2 days - October 23 and November 6. Full attendance is required.

• The course is taught by qualified Singapore Red Cross instructors.

Course Cost

• Full Course Fee: $197.95

• Discounted Course Fee for SVs not applying for a WSF grant: $158.35

• Singaporeans and PRs can apply for WorkSkills Future grant for this course. The amount of subsidy will is dependent on age. Below are the fees payable.

  • Singaporean/PR aged 21-39 years old: $105.45

  • Singaporean/PR 40+ years old: $68.45
